While once known as “Big Meadows” due the abundance of grass and water, Lovelock became a resting place for the wagon trains traveling westward.
Things have changed since early homesteader, George Lovelock, worked his storefront in the late 1800s due in most part to interstate 80 bypassing the community.
What is the EPA Brownfields Program?
The program addresses the need for economic vitality, redevelopment of potential sites to be inventoried, assessed and subsequently cleared to ensure properties are well-positioned for reuse, redevelopment and revitalization.
